Responsibilities

Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications.Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians.Sorting, stocking, and labeling medications and monitoring inventory.Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions, and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist.Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces.Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete.Generating revenues by recording, calculating, and issuing charges.Undertaking administrative tasks such as record-keeping as assigned by a Physician or facility manager from time to time.

Job Requirements

Associates degree or a one-year degree from a pharmacy diploma program.Must demonstrate successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician program or have actual work experience as a Pharmacy Technician or a similar clinical experience.Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)Must demonstrate knowledge of medical and dosage measurements.Supply and inventory management skillsAttention to detail and analytical skills.Ability to create a safe and productive environment.Exemplary customer service skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Dependable team player.Advanced verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Dependability.Attention to detail.Reporting skills.Organizational skills.Integrity.Oral and written communication skills.Patience and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations.

Preferred

Bilingual in Spanish must (Read, Write, Speak) fluently.Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical technology or having attended a formal training program.
