We are members of the Ambulatory Surgery Centers Association and received our accreditation from the Joint Commission of Health Care Facilities.

The Clinical Manager is a nursing and patient care leader who provides guidance and direction to the surgery center's clinical staff, and is responsible for assuring that nursing care is provided in accordance with the Center's policies and procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, and as defined by the State of Illinois.

Under supervision of the Director, responsible for all phases of patient care; day-to-day clinical operations of the Center, including coordination of patient care, budget management, troubleshooting of problem areas and the supervision of a professional team which includes nurses, surgical assistants and other staff as appropriate; supports the vision and mission of UChicago Medicine Ingalls Ambulatory Surgery Center. The position will have a wide range of access to protected health information ("phi") and understands the importance of confidentiality regarding all patient information pursuant to HIPPA policies and procedures. Overall job responsibility will consist of leadership and supervision and some clinical duties when necessary.

A progressive nursing leader with an ability to maintain an environment characterized by trust, acceptance, recognition, and respect.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree preferred
  • Current RN Licensure with the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation required
  • Minumum of 3 years of Perioperative experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery setting
  • Knowledge of EPIC is preferred
  • Ability to plan and lead clinical operations as a member of a management team
  • CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications required
