Description
Position Purpose:
To develop, implement, and direct faith formation programs for preschool, elementary, junior high, and high school students. Collaborates with the pastoral leader, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish. Provide support to our Sunday morning faith formation classes, lead and coordinate Catechists and scheduling. Coordinate group activities throughout the year, including Vacation Bible School. Prepare youth to be fully initiated via RCIA, adapted for Children.
This position will grow into the middle school and high school youth ministry leadership for the following year 2024-2025.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has elementary/ middle school/ high school teaching experience or has experience as a catechist as well as significant parish involvement.
Ability to inspire and work with volunteers and staff, including recruiting of volunteers Creativity, flexibility, joy and enthusiasm in evangelizing the youth Strong communication and organization skills Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and communication tools Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.Benefits: Eligible positions receive a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and disability, long term disability, pension, 403(b), HSA, FSA, and generous sick leave, vacation and holidays.
