Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychology Assistant 1 to join our team at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial screenings and psychological evaluations to assess the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests to inform treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy to support individuals in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Participate in staff development programs and research projects to stay current with best practices in the field.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology from an accredited educational institution.
  • Knowledge of clinical psychology, psychodiagnostics, psychotherapy, interviewing, statistics, and counseling.
  • Ability to understand abstract concepts, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
