Client Overview:

Our client is a leading homebuilder with an exceptional track record of success. With a solid and steady leadership team, our client fosters a highly efficient work environment that allows employees to maximize their skill set and experience career growth. Currently, they are looking to add an Assistant Controller to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$45/hr – $50/hr

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with managing month-end close and reviewing the work of staff accountants.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:
  • Assist with running month-end close
  • Review the work of the Accounting team to ensure journal entries are completed correctly
  • Oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Responsible for all cost accounting
  • Work closely with the CFO on developing and monitoring budgets
Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:
  • Must have at least 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Must have at least 3+ years of construction accounting experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA is preferred but not a requirement
