Veterinary Sales Associate

**Job Description:**

Position requires visiting veterinary hospitals in Southern Michigan, building relationships, and educating veterinary staff. We provide world-class training and support to ensure our shared success. This position is a full-time Independent Contractor position and compensation will be based upon the successful candidate's skills and experience but will be structured that, the harder the successful candidate works, the greater the compensation, with unlimited earning potential.

This position is contingent on successfully obtaining a Property and Casualty license in your state, or province, of residence. The licensing process involves an additional state, or provincial, a background check that looks into a candidate's entire history from age 18 onward. This job requires physically visiting animal hospitals and all team members visiting animal hospitals are required to be vaccinated.

**Requirements:**

* Understand the Veterinary Industry (2 years of veterinary or animal health experience REQUIRED).

* Be pet passionate and possess a strong belief in our mission to give responsible pet owners the ability to provide the best care for their pet when they become sick or injured.

* Have a passion for helping eliminate economic euthanasia in dogs & cats

* Be able to establish and maintain good relations with practices by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service

* Possess a strong entrepreneurial drive, including an attitude of persistence and patience.

* Be comfortable with 40-44 hours/week commitment that includes a high volume of in-person visits to veterinary clinics and a high level of activity to assist in maintaining and building our success.

* Possess the ability to present to hospital owners and staff with confidence

* Be comfortable and willing to be on the road visiting practices 5 days per week

* Be a TEAM player but also work independently

* Be open to training, not be afraid to ask questions, and learn things quickly

* Possess great communication and listening skills

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word)

* Sales and Marketing Experience a plus

* Possess a valid and clean drivers license record and reliable transportation.

**Additional requirements:**

* Must acquire and maintain a P&C Insurance License in order to be employed

* This job requires physically visiting animal hospitals and all team members visiting animal hospitals are required to be vaccinated

* 1-week remote training (Zoom video & highly interactive)

* Occasional weekends for Veterinary Conferences
