The Alarm.com Salesforce Developers' role is to assist with the management and enhancement of the Salesforce instance.

The must have adequate hands-on experience with core Salesforce components, Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Cloud. They must keep abreast of Salesforce releases, features, and best practices. They will be responsible for maintaining system security, integrity, and data quality. They offer user assistance, training, adoption, and ensure user satisfaction. In this role, they will interact directly with clients, managers, and end users as necessary to analyze processes, project objectives, and requirements. This includes specifications for user interfaces, customized applications, and interactions with internal Salesforce instances.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Custom Development, develop and or integrate features to extend the platforms core functionality including Apex, Visualforce, and Flows.
  • Declarative development managing fields, views, reports, dashboards, customizations, and other Salesforce.com objects and functions.
  • System setup, design, and implementation, as well as ability to develop complex integrations.
  • Perform system tests and prepare test data.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging
  • Document system configuration and advanced workflow processes.
  • Maintain system security including role, permissions, and sharing rules.
  • Provide system administration support related to access, visibility, and reporting.
  • Import data and data migration as appropriate.
  • Communicate with peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, quality control, and across other technology teams.
  • Reassign accounts, contacts, and opportunities in response to personnel changes.
  • Map Role hierarchy and territories in response to personnel changes.
  • Create Strategic reports/dashboards and respond to ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
  • Gather requirements from end users.
  • Maintain, enhance, and create automation, functions, and configurations within the Salesforce.com environment.

Requirements:
  • Salesforce Administration Advanced Certification Preferred
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification Preferred
  • Preferred, but not required certifications:
    • Architect certs
    • Platform App Builder
  • 5+ years of Salesforce Developer experience, plus 2 years of Salesforce Admin experience
  • B.S. or B.A. degree required
  • IT proficiency as well as competence in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with project management and team collaboration software
  • A highly motivated self-starter and problem-solver who can operate independently
  • Knowledge of consumer, cloud, and IoT technology is highly preferred
  • Experience with multiple companies in a single Salesforce instance is highly preferred
