About the job Client Technology Configuration Manager

Position Overview:As a Configuration Management and Application Deployment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Configuration Management and application deployment systems. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards for client devices and applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive efficiency in our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configuration Management:
    • Assist in developing and maintaining installation and configuration standards and procedures.
    • Monitor client end-point Configuration Management agent health and perform remediation as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with IT standards by reviewing system logs and performing regular system checks.
    • Deploy OS patches and upgrades weekly for client devices, ensuring patch compliance.
    • Package and distribute application updates and configurations through our Configuration Management system.
    • Utilize advanced reporting to identify opportunities for performance tuning and resource optimization.
  • Application Deployment System:
    • Create and deploy package deployments to store devices as requested by development IT teams.
    • Maintain device groups in RemoteLink and ensure accuracy during deployments.
    • Collaborate with other IT departments to create and deploy scripts to improve departmental efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve package deployment issues, working closely with the Service Center.
  • Intune/AutoPilot for Devices:
    • Maintain applications deployed to Intune Devices and monitor device configuration and patching.
    • Create and maintain deployment profiles as necessary.
  • Project Work:
    • Coordinate with project teams to determine technical requirements and make recommendations.
    • Perform complex deployments or configuration changes to client hardware and software as needed.
    • Support new software deployment and document solutions to current issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Research and report monthly on the current health and PCI compliance.
    • Ensure documentation support is continuously updated to align with IT standards.
    • Author new or update knowledgebase articles to assist Client Technology specialists.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of working knowledge of hardware, software, network, and computer systems required.
    • Experience with Configuration Management and Application Deployment administration required.
    • Technical and strategic understanding of servers, storage, and network technologies required.
  • Skills:
    • Competent and knowledgeable in Windows-based computer systems and hardware.
    • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
    • Strategic thinking both technically and business-wise.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM, MECM, and Intune.
  • Familiarity with handheld and tablet devices.
  • Scripting experience, particularly in PowerShell.
  • RemoteLink experience or willingness to learn.
  • Openness to learning new platforms and technologies.
