Job Summary


Directs and coordinates the production and development activities of the IT Security team within the Information Technology department. Manages situational awareness of current threat environment and leads efforts to automate and orchestrate security responses. Responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on system and information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the company. Provides guidance to Stakeholders on development, performance and productivity issues and processes. Provides leadership to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the IT security life cycle encompassing hardware and data of the organization such as but not limited to end point software, perimeter firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Responsible for recommending best in class security strategy.
  • Oversees processes designed to mitigate IT risk, monitors security compliance and designs and implements disaster recovery strategies.
  • Accomplishes results through direct reports and staff working within established organizational objectives. Performs typical responsibilities of management requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and coaching. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting cost, schedule and quality objectives.
  • Manage security issues and incidents to protect company assets, including intellectual property, and regulated data; participate in problem and change management forums.
  • Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans to ensure that business-critical services are protected and/or recovered in the event of a security event
  • Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend or plan implementation of new or updated security hardware or software and analyze its impact on existing environment; provide technical or managerial expertise for the administration of security tools.
  • Liaise with IT management to align existing technical installed base and skills with future architectural requirements.
  • Work with security engineer team to develop and implement controls and configurations aligned with security policies and legal, regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Responsible to provide a robust training to end users on security processes, procedures, risk and importance of proper usage. Integrates trains with other departments and individual role accountability.


Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.


Education Requirements

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Cyber Security or other IT degree

If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement.

Experience Requirements

8-10 or more years experience year(s) Significant experience in IT Systems, Security or Cybersecurity

year(s) Security Certification such as CISSP, CISA, CCSK, etc.

Supervisory/Management Experience year(s)

Minimum Years of Experience year(s) Description

5 or more year(s) IT management / leadership

The supervisory/management experience requirement is included in, not additional to, the overall experience requirements. year(s)

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of security life cycle.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal forms
  • Strong interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, etc.
  • Competent in use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. and operate standard office equipment
  • Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups
  • Exhibit excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects proficiently while working in a demanding, dynamic environment
  • Ability to apply principles and practices of work leadership and management; communicate objectives and expectations and motivate performance
  • Ability to aggregate multiple sources of data into usable information in a short period of time
  • Solid understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain to deliver defense posture for global organization
  • Understand NIST and CSF frameworks
  • Familiar with third party vendor relationships and completing new technology reviews
  • Ability to remediate security findings via efforts of other teams within the organization
