Sales Manager Industrial Fabrications

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Broadwind Heavy Fabrications has an established history of providing large scale weldments and fabrications to various industries. We are searching for a Regional Sales Manager with a hunter mentality to join our team in the IL, IN, MI, OH and Northern KY region. The Regional Sales Manager will establish and profitably grow new business opportunities in the region. The person must achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration by effectively selling the companies core strength and compatibilities (rolling, welding, fabrication, assembly, and paint). This is a remote position based anywhere in the region. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities) Manage the Sales and Business Development process/pipeline to achieve sales targets. Contacting and securing new business accounts/customers via telephone calls and in-person visits and personal presentations to perspective customers. Researching sources for developing perspective customers and for information to determine their potential. Gathering and analyzing market intelligence for new opportunities. Creating and managing a value plan for perspective customer opportunities. Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers. Plan and organize personal sales strategy to maximize the return on time investment for the territory. Supply leader and others with verbal and written reports on customer needs, problems, competitive environment, and potential new opportunities. Coordinate sales efforts with engineering, estimating, project management, manufacturing and accounting. Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints. Participate in trade shows. Perform additional requests as required. Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in a technical or business discipline; Associate degree with the applicable experience may be considered 5 yrs. minimum experience in business development, sales or marketing in a combination of the following industries - material handling, steel, military/defense, concrete, construction, mining, oil and gas, data centers, pressure vessels, heavy fabrications and infrastructure. Established connections/status/background in the industries listed required Proven success as a sales hunter and with the demonstrated ability to close the deal. Experience in the distribution and sale of branded products through the industrial distribution channel or to large OEM accounts. Willing to travel within a 500-mile radius of Chicago, IL at least 50% of the time; must visit Manitowoc office on a quarterly basis or more if required to understand project scope/customer visits.
