Event Parking Attendant

Valet Park of America Seeking Directional Attendants in the Amherst Area for Events
We are booking many special events for the upcoming Spring/Summer seasons with some of our clients including but not limited to UMass Amherst, Tree House Brewing Company, and more. We are seeking to build a team of PT staff who will work events in the Western MA area.

Events are already scheduled for the following days with a potential for more to be added:

Umass Amherst Commencement: May 17th, May 18th, and May 19th

Treehouse Concert Series: April 25th, May 8th, May 9th, June 6th, June 18th, June 19th, June 25th, July 8th, July 18th, August 12th, August 15th, August 19th, August 20th, and September 5th

Umass Amherst Football Season: Begins in September with additional shifts needed

Most shifts will be on weekends, with some weeknights as well. Some weeks could be 2-3 events per week, some weeks we may not have an event. This is a great fit for someone seeking to supplement their regular FT position or a student.

Travel will be required in the Western MA area to report to the work location.

Pay: $18/hour

Other shifts are also available to create a FT role if so desired.

Health/Dental insurance is available after 90 days (50/50 split), paid vacation (for FT staff), and sick time. Room for advancement

General purpose – The primary purpose of this position is to greet and assist customers, direct them where to park their vehicles, and be a visible representative of the establishment we provide services for.

Minimum Requirements: – All Valet Attendants are required to:

* Have your own transportation

* Have experience working in customer service

* Must speak fluent English to communicate effectively with customers

Physical Demands

* Standing and walking for the duration of your shift
* Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers

Work environment – Outdoors for the duration of the shift. Inclement weather (hot, cold, precipitation, etc) will have a significant impact on the employees' work environment. Shifts will not be canceled due to inclement weather and all employees will be required to attend their scheduled shifts, and maintain a high quality of work despite weather conditions.

* Must be available to work weekends and holidays when necessary
* Must have a neat appearance and a good attitude
* All employees are hired on a 30-day trial period. If during that time the employee does not perform their duties to the satisfaction of management, they can be terminated without cause

We are seeking both full-time and part-time staff. Applicants with a background in customer service, hospitality, retail, transportation, and security often make a good fit for this position. We can accommodate day and night shift hours and are flexible with schedules where possible.
