Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. We are looking for an upbeat, motivated individual with exceptional customer service skills to provide leadership and oversight of our Front Desk Reception staff. We are a busy cross-disciplinary clinic of medical, dental, psychiatric, and behavioral health providers that takes an integrative, team-based approach to client/patient care. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the workflow of the Front Desk Receptionists in support of Behavioral Health, Dental, Medical, and Psych.
- Documentation and training for front desk staff including intakes, electronic heath record (EHR) workflows, customer service, and organizational policies/procedures/protocols.
- Performance review, coaching, and professional development of the front desk staff.
- Function as member of the leadership team for organizational health operations and assist in implementing administrative functions.
- Ensure quality & compliance (including HIPAA) of all front desk related activities
- Ensure that all provider schedules are updated and accurate.
- Assist, track, and support motel voucher distribution for primary care services.
- Work in an integrated manner with all AHCH departments to ensure access to wrap-around services for AHCH clients.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and ability to coach staff in those skills
- Ability to thrive in a complex non-profit healthcare setting
- Ability to work with peers to lead change, high performance, and innovation
- Must have ability to analyze data and effectively communicate impact of data to AHCH leadership and staff
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to work in an integrated manner with all levels of organizational staff
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in an administrative/front desk role in a medical, dental, or behavioral health setting
- Previous experience working with EHR/EMR
- Previous experience working with under-served populations and/or those with SMI/CMI and/or substance abuse disorder
- Bilingual- Spanish/English
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or other relevant degree
- 1 year of experience in an administrative leadership/management role in a medical, dental, or behavioral health setting
