Industrial Maintenance Manager

A local Erie client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations at their plastic shop. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a maintenance technician, with a solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other systems relevant to the injection molding processes. The right candidate will be a good communicator, easy going, and skilled at fixing machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance activities within the plastic shop.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Perform repairs and troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC controlled equipment and injection molding machines.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
  • Train and supervise maintenance technicians to ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and address production needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to maintenance operations.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic injection molding.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with motor control systems, CNC controlled equipment, and injection molding machines.
  • Certificate or diploma in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours when required.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
Benefits/Compensation
  • Full Time
  • Pay Rate is $18-$30 Per hour based on experience
  • Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm
  • Direct Hire
