UPMC Hamot is currently expanding their team and looking to bring on

an experienced echo technician with experience precepting and training new technologists.

Provide for coordinating the oversight of at least 3 UPMC Cardiovascular imaging departments under the general direction of the Director. Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment in addition to a managing all aspects of the department (operation, quality, financials, etc.).

Responsibilities:
Manage all day to day operational aspects of Cardiovascular imaging departments that may include multiple sites.
Accountable for all financial, operations, volume and quality for the department.
Demonstrate, maintain, and ensure that the UPMC Experience is carried out by staff and made known to patients, visitors and peers.
Perform monthly staff meetings and update staff on process changes, hospital changes, and departmental changes.
Establish and maintain an atmosphere of caring and support by directly utilizing the UPMC core values.
Create processes and quality improvement initiatives for the division.
Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the appropriate modality CDM. Maintain current knowledge of CPT guidelines.
Stay on top of new modality developments. Implement new techniques, equipment and procedures.
Maintain job descriptions, evaluations and orientation for the division.
Participate in the preparation for the DOH and TJC.
Maintain timekeeping in Kronos and provide MRS submissions.
Interact with vendors and other service providers to maintain high quality equipment.
Perform hiring, dismissal, employee reviews, and training programs.
Work closely with Supervisors, Leads, and Directors to develop a team atmosphere.
Act as a system resource for protocol development and training programs. Coordinate quality control activities and accepts responsibility for the resolution of problems that arise.
Manage multiple projects/duties, set priorities, and utilize good planning skills to enhance complete productivity, exam turnaround and patient satisfaction.
Direct and oversee procedures and personnel related to charge processing.
