Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the overall operations, facility and team environment in our Fairview, PA (near Erie) location. This entails directing all activities to ensure effective production of quality products to meet customer expectations, supporting the companys strategic plans to achieve goals, and being a team-focused, hands-on leader to foster good working relationships. This includes listening and learning, while training and guiding associates to build a culture of teamwork and delivering results.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Develop and manage an effective organization; select, hire, coach, counsel, and train to ensure positive morale and the achievement of all strategic and tactical goals.
Manage and work with all departments including engineering, maintenance, purchasing, production, scheduling, and quality to drive continuous improvements.
Ensure the effective management and safeguarding of the companys human resources and assets, including inventory, buildings, machinery, and tooling; ensure facility is maintained, clean, organized, and safe with an atmosphere pleasing to all employees, visitors, and the general public.
Continuously monitor production activity using measurements for safety, quality, scrap, and efficiency. Report on these activities, including goals, to the organization.
Proactively address all safety issues.
Proactively address all quality issues.
Proactively address all production issues.
Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and programs.
Represent the company professionally to customers, vendors, and other visitors.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
Education:

Associate degree or higher. Prefer degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Management
Experience:

5 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership skills and experience working across departments in an organization. Prefer, but not required experience in plastic processing or extrusion environment and resolving production issues
Computer skills including MS Office Suite and ERP system
Broad, general business knowledge; budgeting, planning, purchasing, etc.
Strong leadership and management skills, decision making, problem solving, and experience in driving process improvements
In-depth emotional intelligence: behavioral maturity, demonstrated trust and integrity, interpersonal competence, ability to develop and maintain relationships, and the ability to reduce or resolve conflict

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions:
The hours are generally normal business hours Monday to Friday. Must have touchpoints with each shift. Some weekend work may be required.
Able to work in an office setting, and manufacturing environment with dust, moderate noise, and seasonal temperatures. May be exposed to other hazards and must take proper precautions, including using PPE, to ensure safety of self and others. May experience prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.

Travel Requirements:

Some domestic travel may be required (less than 10%)
