**Work Schedule:**

**LOCAL delivery position, home nightly: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.**

**Occupational Summary:**

The Factory Pick-Up Driver & Switchers primary responsibilities include driving for deliveries between Furnitureland South and various manufacturers, tracking truck totals, driving dump truck, and maintaining the trailer yard.

**Essential Functions:**

* Perform various related duties as required.

* Be open to suggest any ideas for improvement.

* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Assist in the warehouse as needed.

* Keep FLS equipment clean and in good working condition.

* Maintain necessary driver logs and expiration status of Federal Inspections due on vehicles.

* Maintain trailer yard.

* Tally counts for trucks on the yard.

* Load truck and sign for the merchandise.

* Drive truck for pickups from the manufacturer.

* Verify that furniture appears to be in good condition.

* Drive dump truck as needed.

* Relocate trucks to and from docks.

* Return items to the manufacturer, obtaining the authorized receivers signature.

* Maintain necessary driver logs.

* Assist in keeping the warehouse and outside dock areas clean and organized.

* Other duties assigned by supervisor.

* Arrive punctually and consistently for work for normally scheduled hours. Also, occasional Saturdays and Sundays.

* The job duties are not limited to the items as described above, duties can be added or changed at any given time.

**Special Requirements:**

Must be highly motivated and dependable.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Safety minded.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

One Year's Experience w/Valid North Carolina Class A-CDL

High School Diploma or GED

Clean driving record.

**Travel Required**

Yes . Driving for deliveries between FLS and various manufacturers **Qualifications**
