RN Clinical Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Nursing, in the monitoring of PPEC clients, nursing and nursing support staff to ensure consistently high and across-the-board performance. The RN manager is responsible for the development and consistent application of organizational PPEC processes to ensure client satisfaction. This position serves as the first line of supervisory response to nurse issues, and client complaints. Also ensures the that all plans of care operate with established goals, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned patients, in order to provide quality care appropriate to the clinical needs of the PPEC clients. In addition to, providing a collaborative relationship with the interdisciplinary health team, information regarding availability and access to community resources and educational services, to increase the parent's or guardians confidence and competence in caring for the child with special needs; assistance to facilitate coping with the effects of chronic illness on the child and family and support effective relationships among siblings and the ill child; interventions to foster normal development and psychosocial adaptation.
Qualifications, Education, Experience:
~Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida
~Bachelors degree in nursing or related field preferred.
~Minimal of two(2) years of general pediatric nursing experience, of which at least 6 months must have been spent caring for medically fragile infants and children, in a pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, PPEC or similar care setting during the previous 5 years.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
~Knowledge of nursing educational assessments and learning strategies
~Knowledge of PPEC Care processes and regulations preferred
~Knowledge of Patient Driven Goals Model (PDGM) preferred
~This position has access to patient medical and financial records, thus must adhere to all federal, state, local, and organizational privacy laws, guidelines, and requirements.
~Equipment Requirements: Computer, mobile telephone, laptop, office multiline phone, general office equipment.
~Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, stooping, walking, talking in-person, talking via telephone, minimal lifting (15 lbs.).
