**Description**

The Merchandise Support Coordinator is responsible for all data element requirements of the purchase order process, encompassing new purchase order entry and maintenance. The Coordinator supports the merchants, transportation, supply chain and planning and allocation teams with duties related to the purchase order and timely flow of product to and through the distribution center.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

* Initiates and maintains the timely and accurate preparation of purchase orders, including master data entry, complying with the business standards & procedures

* Works with business partners to resolve distribution center issues regarding product or purchase orders in a prompt, professional and effective manner

* Maintains master product data based on business needs and communicates changes to internal and external partners

* Communicates purchase order and master product maintenance information to other internal and external partners as needed

* Working with transportation department, verifies and audits import shipping documents

**Qualifications:**

* Merchandising and/or administrative purchase order experience, in a corporate retail or wholesale environment strongly preferred

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Outlook and Word

* Basic knowledge of Google products including Gmail and Google Documents

* Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel formatting and formulas (test required)

* Advanced understanding of retail key performance indicators with the ability to audit data for errors

**Education and/or Experience:**

* High School diploma required / higher education preferred

**Work Environment and Physical Demands:**
