Job Description
  • The Security Architect is responsible for assessing applications during the system development lifecycle for compliance with security standards. Acts as a trusted advisor across all business areas, while proactively assisting in defining the direction of security controls for future projects.
  • Provides technical guidance and direction to IT teams to ensure their solutions are created or enhanced in alignment with corporate security strategies and goals.
  • Strong personal communication skills to be able to translate technical security vulnerabilities to Executive-level business terms, both written and spoken.
  • Experience at recommending remediation to application vulnerabilities as well as at using Source Code Analysis tools like Fortify.
  • Experience with risk-based review of security controls within applications.

  • 7 years of experience in multiple technology areas required.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge in one or more major technology areas.
  • Knowledge of the business required.
  • Experience developing a robust security architecture in collaboration with IT solution architects creating a healthcare insurance business capability.
  • Experience across a broad spectrum of information system technologies including applications, databases, network components, servers, voice, user endpoints, mobile, corporate IT infrastructure, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Familiarity in using enterprise architecture modeling tools and frameworks (ex. Orbus iServer, Troux Planview, TOGAF).

Education/Certifications Include:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, systems analysis, or related field required. Master's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, systems analysis, or related field preferred.
