Embedded Software Architect

Insight Global is looking for an Embedded Software Architect, with a passion in cyber security, to join a team in Sterling Heights. You would be responsible for the development of cyber security software products for a family of ground combat vehicles. The function of this position is to design and assist in the implementation of an advanced first of its kind cybersecurity application/environment. A software architect with experience and passion for cyber security and experience in attaining USG agency solution deployment approval is the ideal candidate for this exciting position. The following are the key duties and skills are required:

  • Architect, design and implementing scalable object oriented software
  • Develop software with a variety of software languages
  • Perform software requirements analysis
  • Develop software preliminary and detail design utilizing software design tools as specified by department standards
  • Develop code to implement software design, code development shall conform to department standards and procedures
  • Develop test procedures and perform unit/functional test on the executable software.
  • Debug software issues discovered throughout multiple testing phases
  • Perform cyber software engineering and development duties to ensure the software product is maintained in accordance with all accreditation and configuration control requirements
  • Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system



Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an embedded software architect
  • Must have been an architect in recent role
  • Embedded software experience
  • Experience designing and developing cyber products
  • Experience with one any of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, ada, rust
  • Experience programming in a Linux environment, including bash scripting
  • Technical leadership architect experience leading software design
  • Requires eligibility to obtain a US security clearance (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible)
