**352 - Retail Relationship Specialist**

**Scope of Work**

The Retail Relationship Specialist will provide retail banking sales and service support to principals/owners of businesses that are assigned to the portfolio of the Banks commercial lending group at the 3 Pleasant Street office. The incumbent will provide a superior level of service and be highly proficient in new account opening, consumer loans or more complex customer problem resolution. This position requires a team oriented individual willing to step in to take on a variety of tasks, including those outside of their direct responsibility.

**Essential Functions (3)**

* Sales :

+ Proficient in the sales of deposit and consumer loan products. Provides qualified referrals to other business lines. Meets assigned sales and referral goals

+ Ability to expertly communicate products and services to the Groups clients. Prepares all necessary documentation to open or close accounts. Processes a variety of transactions accurately and efficiently, which may include deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wires, cash handling, etc.

+ Maintains proficient knowledge of Banks retail products and services and related current sales promotions. Also maintains working knowledge of Banks cash management and insurance products in order to facilitate qualified referrals to those business lines.

* Customer Service :

+ Provides an exceptional level of service to the Groups clients by handling inquiries/issues through effective problem resolution, both accurately and efficiently

+ Builds sustainable client relationships through open and interactive communications.

* Group Support :

+ Provides support and assistance to other Group staff as needed. Serves as the primary point of contact for in-person client visits and for incoming calls.

+ Prepares routine reports, as appropriate, and maintains client databases

+ Performs administrative duties as needed, and all other duties as assigned.

* Responsible for completing required training and policy review

* May serve on various committees

* Willingness to take on additional tasks and duties

**Certifications/Licenses Required**

* Registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry

**Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

* Proven knowledge of Banking Products and Services

* Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

* Displays strong written and verbal communication skills

* Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines

* Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems

* Prior knowledge of banking regulations is preferred

* Ability to adapt to change

**Desired Job Experience**

* 2+ years of experience in financial services

* Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment

**Desired Education**

* High school or General Education Diploma

**Working Conditions/Minimum Physical Requirements**

* Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards

* Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment

* Lifting and moving of moderately heavy objects on occasion
