Michelle Farmer is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented production assistants to join our growing dynamic team. We specialize in manufacturing luxury womenswear garments made in the USA. We currently have stores in Palm Beach, Southampton NY, Phoenix and Boca Raton Fl. We are all about beautiful fabrics, exquisite workmanship and a gorgeous fit.

As a Fashion Production Assistant, You would be working alongside a number of talented professionals in our West Palm Beach atelier. You'll be involved with technical design, planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes. You'll make sure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.

Job Skills

A background working in garment production

Technical design skills ( preparing tech packs, fashion flats, preparing specs)

Mood boards

Sewing experience is a plus

Pattern making knowledge

Production coordination experience

Job Responsibilities:

To ensure that manufacturing processes runs reliably and efficiently.

Assessing project and resource requirements.

Create purchase orders.

Coordinate with factories.

Prepare cutting tickets with design team.

Order fabrics and notions and ensure goods are shipped to factories in a timely manner.

Maintain and organize color, print, fabric, and trim libraries.

Track shipments and update relevant departments of when items arrive.

Keep an updated work in progress log and trim chart of open orders.

Measure/review all garments to ensure quality and that they align with product specifications.

Identify potential problems with products and follow through to ensure all issues are resolved prior to scheduled releases.

Review swatches/lab dips and fabrics from overseas dyers.

Must have the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once while still staying organized work collectively with design team to depict vision of brand.

Attend all fit meetings and take detailed notes.

Make Mood boards and fashion flats.

Receive in new production and liaison with logistics team to make sure they are sent to store locations.

Run inventory reports and work with design team to make sure stock levels are on target.

Sewing experience is a plus.
