Position Summary: Registered Behavior Technician - Advantage Behavioral Health Under general supervision, provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families. Conducts patient/client/consumer intakes, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. Assists in dealing with personal and social problems. May provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/orserve as a liaison for social services. May perform case management dutiesDuties and Responsibilities:Assists with the development of an Individual Plan of Care (POC) for each assigned clientProvides appropriate input in developing and maintaining a functional assessment of behaviorAssists with the implementation of an individual POC for each assigned clientCollects data (paper and/or electronically) on targeted behaviors specific to the clients POC, with accuracyElectronic documentation, with signature, regarding the services provided, within the same dayFollows POC exactly as it is written and trainedPrepares and maintains records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to supervisorMust travel to clients homes and be willing to transport clients to targeted community environments (if specified in POC)Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs; toileting, feeding, hygiene, etc.), when neededBe competent and comfortable using Safety Care Management, when neededAttends meetings regarding clientsProvides appropriate information regarding the client and/or input in meetings pertaining to case management and/or case collaborationAttends staff trainings pertaining to research and education in Applied Behavior AnalysisAttends seminars and meetings, as requiredMaintains knowledge by reading up-to-date articles, books, etc.Actively participates in supervision by the assigned BCBASupervision may include, but is not limited to:development of performance expectationsobservation, behavioral skills training and delivery of performance feedbackmodeling technical, professional and ethical behaviorguiding the development of problem-solving and ethical decision-making repertoiresreview of written materials (e.g., daily progress notes, data sheets)oversight and evaluation of the effects of behavior-analytic service deliveryongoing evaluation of the effects of supervisionSupervision will include, at minimum, two face-to-face, real contacts per monthindividual and group supervision will occurSupervision will include, observing the RBT in providing services, at minimum, once a month (e.g., in person or videoconferencing)Adheres to the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines and RBT Ethics CodeMust participate in 40-hr RBT training and pass the RBT Competency AssessmentMust take and pass RBT exam within 30 days of hire (reimbursement for passing the exam)Must stay up-to-date and active with RBT certificationFunctions and/or provides services with an awareness, sensitivity and understanding of cultural differences, similarities and abilitiesQualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Registered Behavior Technician - Advantage Behavioral Health Registered Behavior Technician 1: Bachelor's degree in a social services related field from an accredited college or university OR High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience in a social services related position OR One year of experience at the lower level or position equivalent.Registered Behavior Technician 2: Bachelor's degree in a social services related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience in a social services related field OR High school diploma or GED AND Three years of experience in a social services related position OR One year of experience at the lower level or position equivalent.Registered Behavior Technician 3: Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Four years of related experience.Preferred Qualifications: BACB certified RBTAssociate degree or higher and/or enrolled in an undergraduate program in a related field2 years work experience providing social or direct care services to an individual or groups of special needs individualsExperience in ABABilingual in SpanishCertifications:Valid Drivers license and car insuranceBACB RBT certification obtained within 30 days
