For our RVT position, we are looking for someone with: passion to provide best quality care and act as an advocate for our patients, with empathy to provide comfort to our clients, enthusiasm and motivation to grow within the practice and to keep learning as medicine evolves, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong team mindset. Detailed training is provided to all new hires.

Responsibilities:
  • Feed and weigh animals.
  • Clean cages.
  • Sterilize equipment and clean examination tables and rooms.
  • Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations.
  • Perform venipuncture.
  • Take and record vital signs.
  • Administer medication prescribed by Veterinarians.
  • Observe animal behavior or health condition and report to the Vet.
  • Help in cases of emergencies.
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments or calling patients in the examination room by priority.
  • Keep accurate records and logs.
  • Reassure clients that their pets are being cared for and explain issues.
  • Advise pet owners on nutrition and healthcare.

Skills:
  • IV catheter placement.
  • Anesthesia induction/intubation.
  • Anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
  • Dental scaling/prophy.
  • Drug calculations.
  • Produce diagnostic radiographs.
  • Run in-house lab work.
  • Knowledge of vaccination protocols and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A valid RVT license is required for RVT positions.
