Sales Support Manager Job Description The Sales Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Sales Support team, including the Quotations Team, Order Processing Team, Customer Service, and Technical Support. The primary function of the Sales Support team is to provide any support necessary to facilitate the success of the Outside Sales Team. The Sales Support Manager reports to the VP of Sales and is expected to have significant interactions with many other departments within the company.

What you’ll do as the Sales Support Manager: Design, implement, and manage processes that increase throughput and accuracy in all areas of Sales Support while maintaining compliance with established customer priorities Identify and implement changes that will improve the quote conversion rate and decrease the quotes and orders turnaround times achieving industry-leading performance Coordinate activities with the Outside Sales Team to improve sales and customer satisfaction Manage performance reporting for all areas within Sales Support, and provide leadership and guidance to the Sales Support team, enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction Establish specific and measurable goals for the Sales Support team that align with the overall objectives of the Outside Sales team Regularly meet with leaders of the Outside Sales team to establish priorities and create a cohesive strategy Create strategies and initiatives that address the unique needs of the Sales Support team Provide the Sales Support team with resources and training to excel, including product knowledge, systems training, and communication skills to build strong customer relationships Use data-driven insights for improvement and continually optimize Sales Support processes

What you’ll bring to the Sales Support Manager role: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field experience Proven track record of success leading cross-functional teams driving desired business outcomes Experience designing and implementing process improvements Experience designing and implementing operational reporting systems to measure performance Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce Excellent organizational and time management skills and oral and written communication skills Ability to remain seated at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
