The role of the Community Integration Specialist involves providing support and education to individuals with developmental disabilities, networking with community-based supports, and participating in client treatment plans. Moreover, the Community Integration Specialist endeavors to assist, help, encourage, or support our consumers in developing and sustaining valued social roles and relationships, building natural supports, increasing independence, and experiencing meaningful community participation and inclusion. Flexibility: Enjoy the freedom of a flexible work schedule Responsibilities: • Report to Lead and/or Program Director daily. • Drive clients to designated activity sites. • Engage with families, colleagues, and outside professionals on a regular basis. • Supervise and assist clients with toileting, dressing, grooming, bathing and other hygiene and activities of daily living as deemed appropriate. • Assist clients with lunch and snacking which may include assisted feeding, food preparation and clean up. • Modify or adapt to methods deemed necessary to achieve a desired behavior for the clients benefit. • Collaborate with a behavioral interventionist on an as needed basis to address client specific concerns and needs. • Intervene in client behaviors as directed. • Actively always monitor clients within line of sight. • On occasion chase clients who are eloping or fleeing • Actively engage with clients throughout the day • Complete client related paperwork in electronic form daily

Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent qualification. • Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written. • First Aid and CPR certification (training provided if needed). • Become certified in Non -Violent Crisis Intervention (Paid by organization) • Ability to lift to 50 pounds when assisting individuals with standing and sitting. 75 pounds with support from another staff member. • Clear background check, including fingerprinting. • Valid California Driver's License and insurance and safely operating vehicle
