Responsibilities:

  • Learn a broad range of fundamental sealing applications including static and dynamic seals, and O-rings in addition to new potential opportunities in the eMobility and electrification specialized application areas.
  • Make recommendations for quality improvements from analysis of warranty parts and data.
  • Report results of field investigations and assembly teardowns.
  • Work with associated Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) and customer organizations (materials engineering; tribology and lubrication; CAE; program management; etc.)
  • Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and VA/VE.
  • Relate Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) business or product plans to customer as needed.
  • Create or reuse seal drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and UG NX.
  • Work closely with company Lead Centers for Fluid Power Industry products to maintain alignment of strategy and application support.
  • Identify customer applications where Freudenberg products are a viable replacement for competitor products and activities required to convert.
  • Deliver technical trainings to internal teams and external customers.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans that are consistent with corporate/divisional objectives. Make technical visits to assigned accounts as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing, or technical equivalent.)
  • 2+ years practical Engineering experience in a corporate or plant environment.
  • Professional level English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Experience with sealing technologies preferred.
  • Experience in selling technical solutions, value engineering and value-added solutions, problem solving culture, value selling premium is a plus.
  • Experience in conducting technical training or seminars preferred.
  • Experience in communicating product features, material knowledge and commercial interactions
