Job Summary and QualificationsPosition summary: The Cat Scan Tech produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.
- Effective communicator, mentally alert, dependable, reliable, conscientious, tactful, flexible, and cooperative
- Possesses integrity, uses good judgment and shows initiative
- Has the ability to function well while multi-tasking and making decisions in stressful situations
- Demonstrates commitment, safety, honesty, integrity and compassion
- Ability to work and communicate with all patients, family members, physicians and employees
- Must maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Works with minimal supervision, displaying good judgment, self-motivation, initiative, and organization skills
- Ability to work well and communicate with all staff
- Demonstrates behaviors that are relative to the HCA Mission and Values Statement: “We act with absolute honesty, integrity and fairness in the way we conduct our business and the way we live our lives.”
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers
- Currently licensed through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in CT or must obtain advanced certification through ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
- Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imagining
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
- Certification: BLS and ARRT must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital

Services include the region’s only Level-II trauma center, cardiovascular services--including open-heart surgery and cardiac catheterization; oncology services, which include radiation therapy and outpatient infusion; labor and delivery, including a neonatal intensive care unit; an inpatient behavioral health unit; and other specialized inpatient areas, including intensive care and inpatient rehabilitation units.
