Job Summary and Qualifications

Position summary: The Cat Scan Tech produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.

    • Possesses integrity, uses good judgment and shows initiative
    • Has the ability to function well while multi-tasking and making decisions in stressful situations
    • Demonstrates commitment, safety, honesty, integrity and compassion
    • Ability to work and communicate with all patients, family members, physicians and employees
    • Must maintain regular attendance and punctuality
    • Works with minimal supervision, displaying good judgment, self-motivation, initiative, and organization skills
    • Ability to work well and communicate with all staff

What qualifications you will need

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers
  • Currently licensed through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in CT or must obtain advanced certification through ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
  • Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imagining
  • Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Certification: BLS and ARRT must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital
