Overview

UF Health Leesburg Hospital has been serving the health care needs of our community for 58 years. The hospital offers advanced cardiac care including one of the largest cardiothoracic surgery programs in the state. The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation its highest and best level of accreditation. UF Health Leesburg Hospital also offers advanced orthopedic surgery, stroke care, emergency services as well as labor and delivery care.

The hospital is part of UF Health Central Florida, a not-for-profit health care system and the largest most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. UF Health Central Florida provides inpatient acute hospital services at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and UF Health The Villages Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation services at UF Health Rehab Hospital The Villages and diagnostic laboratory services at several locations. There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Healths Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The ideal Cardiovascular Tech candidate is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset. The Director is a servant-leader with 30 years of UF Health Leesburg experience and is dedicated to the success of her team and the people of her community.

The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated and offers state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices.

The EP Lab Cardiolo vascular Tech, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assist physician in a scrub-assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, cardiac cath procedures to ensures safe patient care. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. This position will have on-call(average of 10 days per month).


Qualifications

Education:
- Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Either of the following is required in lieu of the required education:
- FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification OR
- FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Preferred)
- BLS
- ACLS

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath lab or EP lab
- For less than 1 year EP experience, must have graduated from an accredited academic program with a dedicated EP curriculum and successful completion of EP clinical rotations
- Must have a strong knowledge base in Electrocardiograms, rhythm analysis, sterile technique, cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and radiation protection
