UF Health Leesburg Hospital has been serving the health care needs of our community for 58 years. The hospital offers advanced cardiac care including one of the largest cardiothoracic surgery programs in the state. The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI and Resuscitation its highest and best level of accreditation. UF Health Leesburg Hospital also offers advanced orthopedic surgery, stroke care, emergency services as well as labor and delivery care.
The hospital is part of UF Health Central Florida, a not-for-profit health care system and the largest most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. UF Health Central Florida provides inpatient acute hospital services at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and UF Health The Villages Hospital, inpatient rehabilitation services at UF Health Rehab Hospital The Villages and diagnostic laboratory services at several locations. This position will work in our Ambulatory Surgery Unit/Pre-Op Holding. This position will prepare patients for surgery and recover outpatients from phase 2 recovery to prep them for discharge to go home.
Under the direction of the Director/Manager/ Charge Nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care. This RN position is for the Ambulatory Surgery for preop and phase 2 post-op. 1 day off during the weekday. Requires on call for after hours during week days and weekends for urgent/emergent cases. Shift will be Mon-Fri 9am-7:30pm and will work four 10-hr shifts per week.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associates Degree
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Registered Nurse License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Medical/Surgical or Critical Care experience of 1 year preferred
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
