Overview

Since the doors opened more than 59 years ago, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has continued to build upon its reputation as a leading medical center and the most comprehensive provider of health care services in the region. The hospital offers advanced cardiovascular care, including one of the largest open-heart programs in Florida. The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation its highest and best level of accreditation. The hospital also offers world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic surgery, life-saving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor delivery, and so much more. The Operating Team is team-oriented and very collaborative, keeping quality and safety as our main goal. The Manager leads by example and coaches, mentors, and elevates her team members. Under the direction of the Director/Manager/ Charge Nurse/ and RNs, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing an aseptic environment within the perioperative arena. Surgical conscience is of the utmost importance. Must be well versed in the basics of routine surgical and diagnostic cases. MUST HAVE OPEN HEART EXPERIENCE.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 am -2:30 pm

Requires on- call, after hours and weekends a couple days per week. This is a full time position and is eligible for a sign-on bonus.


Qualifications

Education:
- Post High School Special Training
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Surgical Technology Certification required or LPN license
- BLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

- Must have open heart experience
