What's the Job?

  • Provide tangible solutions to engineering challenges in multiple R&D projects.
  • Assist scientists in building hardware systems for the demonstration of concept or prototyping.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results and propose improvement solutions.
  • Manage and maintain lab devices.
  • Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to advance quantum networking prototypes.

What's Needed?

  • PhD in physics, optics, applied physics, electrical engineering, or related field; or a master's degree with 5 years of experience in the quantum, optics, or photonics industry.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum optics experiments.
  • Experience with fiber and free-space optical and photonics experiments.
  • Familiarity with automating hardware systems including laser sources, control hardware, and detectors.
  • Basic understanding of quantum information concepts and a decent research record in hardware prototyping.
