At ViaSat, we're on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. As a High-Assurance Hardware Engineer, you'll play a critical role in developing next-generation encryption devices for Layer 3 In-line Network Encryptors.

This role requires expertise in designing, documenting, implementing, prototyping, and testing high-speed or ultra-low power digital circuit boards. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and troubleshoot production-related issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing next-generation encryption devices.
  • Documenting and reporting technical solutions and findings.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • 8+ years of hardware design or sustaining experience.
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment, including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take ownership of results.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
