Job Description

Seeking a full-time communication and content lead in a vibrant and innovative environment, for a hybrid on site and remote position. This position will be responsible for leading the development and execution of effective, goal-oriented communication strategies that resonate with technology-oriented government and government contractor (GovCon) audiences. The ideal candidate will be flexible, work collaboratively across the organization and leverage the current brand value of a growing, 200+ person firm to support new contract wins and existing work. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to enhance a well-regarded brand in a sector dedicated to scientific and engineering innovation, in support of a team that values mission success, growth, and collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a branding and communications plan to support business development and organizational goals, addressing website, conventional media, social media, printed materials, and conferences.

Align the branding and communications plan to business development pipeline.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and GovCon industry contacts, including writing press releases, making/managing social media posts, facilitating conference participation, and shaping and communicating about company work product, activities, and published materials.

Proactively manage social media and respond to media inquiries and identify opportunities for increased brand visibility.

Stay abreast of GovCon trends to inform branding and content strategies effectively.

Use appropriate tools and metrics to track audience engagement and message efficacy.

Design infographics, presentation visuals, publication design, brochures, posters, and logos, as well as create, edit, and process text and graphics for hardcopy and electronic publication.

Work within production schedules and coordinate with program owners to produce and deliver finished visual publications.

Manage and develop corporate communications products such as weekly activity reports, briefings, articles, and senior leadership talking points, ensuring workforce awareness of organizational programs, initiatives, requirements, training, and other opportunities.

Facilitate two-way communications between workforce and leadership.

Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with senior level clients, outside of and within the organization.

Work independently and contribute to the team in a collaborative, creative environment.
