Responsibilities:
The department secretary serves as the first point of contact for the department by phone and/or in person. The department secretary performs secretarial, clerical and administrative support functions in an organized and effective manner under the direction of the leaders of the department or their designee. When patient, family or visitor contact is involved, the department secretary demonstrates knowledge, skills and behavior appropriate to the age of the population served. This position is required to use approved programs to enter and save information as assigned, with an understanding of network mapping, paths and file structure. The department secretary is able to find target files and save files to other locations and is capable of understanding and navigating through a large system's database structure with minimal instruction. The department secretary operates peripheral equipment and assists in the efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications:
