Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sets up and assists in staining cells and tissues for flow cytometry and confocal imaging under general supervision of the principal investigator and research specialists in the lab.

Open to work in an animal research environment, and such as mouse blood and tissue collection/processing and monitoring of mice during procedures, under general supervision of the principal investigator and research specialists in the lab.

Troubleshoots and performs routine repair and maintenance of equipment.

Maintains records, files and logs of work performed in laboratory notebooks and computer databases.

Reviews literature for related research developments and techniques and compiles findings.

Records results of studies, compiles and analyzes data and prepares charts and graphs.

Demonstrated outstanding working habits, including the ability to work in a team environment.

Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal and communication skills.

Experience with flow cytometry, PCR, ELISA, histology and processing of human samples preferable.

Prior hematology/immunology education or experience or familiarity with immunologic based assays is ideal

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a college or university offering a four year degree.
