ITT Goulds Pumps is among the most widely recognized and respected brands in the global pump industry, serving customers in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical, pulp and paper and general industrial markets. ITT Goulds Pumps continues to lead the industry in innovative pump designs, increasing our customer’s pump reliability through smart technologies, wireless condition monitoring and aftermarket pump repair and upgrade services.
The position is for a Sales Representative responsible for managing and growing a sales territory selling engineering pumping equipment and service for consistent growth of ITT Goulds Pumps Industrial Process. This is accomplished through development of new and existing end-user customers within the territory.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Sales planning and achieving an annual sales forecast by meeting growth targets for a set territory in North and South Carolina, as well as Virginia.
• Develop customers for increased portfolio sales by consultative selling and solution selling in an effort to meet all territory forecast and growth objectives.
• Establish a positive personal relationship with key buying influences at target accounts.
• Make sales presentations to customers demonstrating our product, service and upgrade capabilities.
• Establish and maintain Value Based Commercial Excellence account plans for the territory.
• Maintain an electronic quote log for all open quotes in the territory.
• Communicate to Sales Management via a monthly report on the competition, customer needs, market conditions, issues, successes and sales efforts.
• Establishing a strong working relationship with our Pump Repair & Overhaul (PRO) Service Shops.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or combination of education & experience.
• Previous experience selling rotating equipment, repair and upgrade services.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in mechanical equipment; training in assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting of pumps; experience in pulp & paper mills, power plants, chemical, oil & gas, steel, mining & minerals. Preference is experience in servicing pulp & paper or having pulp & paper industry experience.
• Display high degree of independence, requires little management guidance to meet objectives.
• Willingness to travel within the territory.
ITT operates through three Value Centers (operating segments):
Motion Technologies (Revenue of $1.4B; headcount of 4,700; operates in 13 countries) manufactures brake components and specialized sealing solutions, shock absorbers and damping technologies primarily for the global automotive, truck and trailer, public bus and rail transportation markets;
Industrial Process (Revenue of $1.0B; headcount of 2,800; operates in 30 countries) manufactures engineered fluid process equipment serving a diversified mix of customers in global industries such as chemical, energy, mining, and other industrial process markets and is a provider of plant optimization and efficiency solutions and aftermarket services and parts;
Connect and Control Technologies (Revenue of $0.6B; headcount of 2,700; operates in 10 countries) manufactures harsh-environment connector solutions, critical energy absorption, flow control components, and composite materials for the aerospace and defense, general industrial, medical, and energy markets.

Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
