The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Global Process Owner - General Ledger to join our team. This position will report to our Corporate office located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for achieving operational efficiencies, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining team development and learning needs.

Accountability for successful reporting of accurate financials that are in accordance with GAAP.

Collaborates with process leads to ensure consistent processes are followed within each region.

Lead field SSC General Ledger operations to ensure standard processes are followed, operational efficiencies are identified, and corporate targets and deadlines are being met.

Track resourcing needs and partner with HR to ensure appropriate backfilling and training.

Identify offices that are not following the Hilb standard processes.

Develop all GL associates and identify and implement training as needed.

Responsible for data integrity for field financials; focusing on each level of the balance sheets and income statements.

Work with Onboarding team to oversee agency integration and data cleanup efforts.

Continuously drive a one Hilb view versus a regional or agency focus

Responsible for implementing a consistent standardized process defined by Hilb.

Audit current process to ensure adhesion to current Hilb standards.

Monthly and Quarterly review of profit center financials

Develop and maintain performance metrics for objective.

Liaison with the Operations

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in a Finance & Accounting Role, minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

Agency insurance experience required, with a preference for working knowledge of AMS 360

Shared Services Center background with experience in developing and implementing global workflows.

Candidates need to have a proven track record of utilizing technology to continuously improve efficiencies in financial processes.

Functional expertise in FP&A, general accounting, financial reporting, and finance operations

Demonstrated leader with the ability to influence and motivate others to drive results in a multi-location environment.
