Overview:
The focus of this job will be to provide quality service to the Farm Bureau agency force by supporting Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Agency, Inc. in the areas of policy billing, entering direct and agency bill commission statements and other processing functions. The duties of this job will be fulfilled using thorough judgment, broad technical skills, and a positive attitude, focused on adding value through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
Receive and sort department mail, process customer applications, customer payments, policy changes, endorsements, reinstatements, cancellations and finance agreements, scanning and indexing all documents to AMS 360 and/or OnBase.
Apply payments in AMS 360.
Work with accounting to validate and deposit check payments and resolve any issues regarding Direct Billed and Agency Billed commissions.
Process commission statements in a timely fashion.
Receipt of suspense for receiving policies, endorsements, cancellations, Agency billed check deposit, and payments.
Invoice new and renewal policies and endorsements.
Update policy information on the system.
Direct Billed download processing into AMS 360.
Coordinate agent business transfers, set up agent appointments and terminations with various companies.
Maintenance of the grandfathered agent account list.
Check for active Kentucky Farm Bureau membership, and maintain the Membership number search list.
Provide assistance and communicate effectively with the agency force and brokerage companies.
Consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism through honesty and integrity, competency, reliability, demeanor, specialized knowledge, organizational skills, accountability, and self-regulation.
Act as a professional representative of the brokerage and Kentucky Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company by exhibiting our Guiding Principles.
Regular, predictable attendance as employee has to physically be in the office.

Other Responsibilities
Participate in agent training schools.
Attend meetings and seminars as requested.
Serve on committees as assigned.

 

Job Specifications

Physical demands: Normal vision/hearing (with or without correction); Speaking.
Mental demands: Analytical reasoning; Prolonged concentration; Patience to deal with frequent interruptions.
Environmental factors: Standard office lighting, temperature, and noise.
Equipment: Telephone; Keyboard; Calculator; Copier; Scanner; Fax Machine; Personal Computer.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
A commitment to complete additional formal insurance courses.
Basic typing skills to operate PC required.
Experience with excel required.
Basic math skills required.
Experience with AMS 360 (or similar agency management system) preferred.
Experience with OnBase preferred.
Previous insurance experience preferred.
Ability to accept constructive criticism.
Ability to organize and prioritize time and work.
Ability to focus on detail with consistent accuracy.
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Above average time and attendance.
Ability to communicate in a grammatically correct and concise manner, both orally and written.
Team oriented with the ability to deal with others in a diplomatic and professional manner.
