Job Summary:

 

The Catering Sales Specialist targets and coordinates catering sales efforts. The job involves initiation and development of quality leads to ensure growth of (large group) catering sales for assigned Jack’s restaurants. The sales manager solicits new catering customers through traditional, digital and local store marketing sales techniques. Works very closely with the Marketing team, store General Managers, Area Supervisors and Regional Directors to ensure the flawless execution of catering orders with clients and corporate partners.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage dedicated geographic territory to exceed sales objectives through new business acquisition and client retention.
• Utilize prospecting and account-based selling techniques to expand sales with target accounts.
• Conduct outbound calling, digital outreach and other sales efforts to build relationships and generate revenue from leads, new, active, and at-risk clients.
• Be actively involved in any training, mentoring, strategy development, implementation, and execution within the Marketing department
• Serve as liaison between clients, restaurant operations teams, and internal departments to grow catering revenue.
• Achieve and monitor key performance indicators including high outreach volume, growth in target accounts, acquisition of new clients, and regional revenue targets.
• Demonstrate knowledge of geographic territory, including key business, organizations and economic drivers.
• Execute and support the marketing and operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence, upsell programs, relationship retention) to ensure guest satisfaction

 

Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:

• 2-3 Years’ Experience in Marketing, Advertising, Event / Management or Public Relations
• Minimum of (1) year of direct outbound sales experience
• Self-starter who is highly motivated, possesses entrepreneurial spirit, and
take ownership in his / her job
• Work cross functionally and mobilize required resources without authority
• Ability to Communicate professionally and effectively, both internally/
externally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to manage your time and a wide range of demands in a fast-paced
work environment
• Computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel,
Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator are a plus
• This role requires on-site, in office responsibilities at our company’s
headquarters with occasional travel throughout the Birmingham and
Tuscaloosa region, and may necessitate weekend commitments.
Education, Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Marketing (preferred), Public Relations or
Communications
• 2+ Years multi-unit Quick Service or Fast Casual Restaurant experience
highly preferred
• Understanding of retail and/or restaurant industries, including industry
trends, business constraints and drivers
