Overview:
Responsible for the day-to-day activities related to delivering digital marketing programs that will help independent retailers drive traffic, revenue growth, customer retention, and basket growth. Partner with internal teams to drive the desired promotions and marketing messages to the right target audience in all marketing channels. Work with third-party partners to drive product roadmap, communicate plans and improve retailer customer experience. This individual should have a customer-first mindset to help independent retailers thrive, be responsive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:
•Build and execute loyalty program strategy, assisting with research, benchmarking, and defining audience.
•Create and implement components in accordance with annual marketing plans and editorial calendar.
•Initiate and execute ongoing promotional calendar planning with brand / category teams, and marketing stakeholders.
•Oversee the development of promotion calendar coupons and omnichannel marketing production, including submission of product UPCs to the brand Ad team and external partners (e.g. AppCard) and provide marketing rollout plans.
•Capture action plans, communicating updates on an ongoing basis to all parties, including 3rd party partners, store support and MDI.
•Manage offer details and testing of complex promotional campaigns with various retail banners to ensure successful testing prior to promotional period.
•Write, develop content copy for various offers, coupons, and promotions.
•Build all promotional emails and draft verbiage for SMS marketing.
•Troubleshooting coupon and promotional issues for all stores and groups, working closely with internal and external partners. Communicate directly with independents and bel able to address issues / problems quickly.
•Coordinate reporting workstreams with MDI analytics team and external partners.
•Track and analyze analytic reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
•Acts as an omnichannel marketing support to ensure all promotions and campaigns are marketed across other platforms: Facebook, other email marketing, website, etc.
•Support manager and marketing team with additional needs as determined by the business.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field
•2+ years experience in digital marketing, loyalty marketing and / or email marketing
•Experience in project management and managing annual planning
•Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work and meet deadlines
•Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
•Excellent written and strong verbal communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with various web-based portals
