Job Description

The Manager, Learning & Development will be a crucial point-person for the creation, delivery, and dissemination of training content throughout the organization for employee growth and career development. The candidate must have a foundational understanding of instructional design models that produce impactful, measurable results, such as increased employee engagement and improved retention. They must also be able to foster a collaborative, productive learning environment that captures the audience’s attention and helps them meet their development end goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer

Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs

State instructional end goals and create content that matches them

Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product

Conduct needs analysis and performance evaluation utilizing the Kirkpatrick model

Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process

Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc)

Maintain project documentation and course folders

Assists in the creation of training materials, exercises, and activities that enhance the learning process

Ensures consistent branding and voice in all learning content.

Works with departmental SMEs to create specialized content for each business unit.

Evaluates existing training materials and makes recommendations for enhancement.

Works within the greater People Services team as a lead on compliance training.

Completes or assists with ad-hoc learning content projects as needed
