Overview:
ABC Technologies is accepting applications for 2024 summer internships. Our internship program is designed for students interested in working in Automotive Manufacturing and will last 3 months. This is an hourly paid internship As an intern, in Engineering at manufacturing plants often involve project-based work, where interns contribute to ongoing projects or initiatives within the company. You may work on tasks such as designing components, optimizing manufacturing processes, conducting test and experiments, or assisting with quality control activities. 

In this internship, the individual will likely gain hands-on experience in various aspects of engineering, manufacturing, and project management while working under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities

Assisting with Design and Development: You may assist engineers in designing new automotive parts or improving existing designs. This could involve using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create or modify 3D models, conducting simulations, and performing analysis to ensure parts meet performance and safety requirements.

Process Improvement: You might work on projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, or enhance product quality. This could involve analyzing production data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Quality Control and Testing: You may be involved in quality control activities, such as inspecting parts to ensure they meet specifications, conducting tests to assess durability and performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during testing.

Documentation and Reporting: You might assist in documenting engineering designs, specifications, and procedures. This could include preparing technical reports, creating assembly instructions, and maintaining accurate records of testing and inspection results.

Supporting Production Operations: You could work closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues that arise on the manufacturing line, provide technical support, and implement solutions to optimize production processes.

Safety and Compliance: You may help ensure that manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards. This could involve conducting risk assessments, participating in safety audits, and implementing safety improvements.

Project Management: Depending on the size and scope of projects, you might assist in managing project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and tracking progress to ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Research and Development: You may have the opportunity to participate in research and development initiatives aimed at exploring new technologies, materials, or manufacturing methods that could enhance product performance or reduce costs.

Qualifications:
Any education that is in progress with a College or University related to the field of Engineering.

CAD software proficiency
