Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec’s culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you would work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Some of the key responsibilities may include those listed below.

Developing business and leading technical aspects for environmental compliance projects.

Maintaining high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and, presentations at industry events.

Identifying and developing successful client relationships and new business development opportunities on a regional basis.

Directing projects and staff, including providing technical leadership and oversight, risk management, and mentoring.

Coordinating with other practices and/or offices and regions to facilitate project delivery.

Leading and assisting in recruiting, mentoring, and training additional staff to grow the Colorado operations.

Serving in a leadership role for the company culture and values across the organization.

Education and Licensure:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or environmental engineering or a related field. (required)

Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
At least 15 years of environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)

Experience in managing and/or directing multi-media environmental compliance audits and monitoring follow-up corrective actions including providing strategic advice and support to clients implementing programs and projects aimed at achieving EHS and Sustainability goals. (preferred)

Deep understanding and experience with RCRA and other environmental regulations. (preferred)

Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required) 

Designing, implementing, and auditing management systems including root causes analysis and corrective and preventive action. (required)

Experience working with or managing multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)

Proven leadership skills. (required)

Certifications or additional training or experience in hazardous waste and auditing. (preferred)

Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)

Field work and overnight travel may be required.

Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) 

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below is the range that we in good faith believe is the potential compensation for this role at the time of this posting and is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

Minimum Salary: $150,585

Maximum Salary: $225,880
