Responsibilities:
The Director will report to the Vice President of Information Technology (VP IT) and will be key in developing and implementing IT strategy and solutions across the company. This role will be responsible for a variety of technical projects that support EnLink’s operational goals, as well as managing network engineering and infrastructure, collaboration, database administration, and cybersecurity teams.

 

This leader will have a strong technical background along with the ability to manage and motivate people and set and execute strategic objectives.  As a leader, this person will add value to the company by fostering a collaborative environment and welcoming new ideas.  We are looking for an individual who has the ability to grow into the VP IT role in the future, providing leadership and direction to meet company short and long term goals. 

 

To be successful, the Director IT will need experience managing a variety of complex technical projects and leading teams with diverse skillsets, as well as strong business acumen. Duties include:

Lead and manage teams of IT professionals, from selection and training to ongoing development, performance management, and work guidance, fostering a culture of high-performance and continuous innovation

Set department policies, procedures, technical standards, methods, and priorities; plan and manage budgets

Develop long-term infrastructure plans and architectures, identifying best practices in the field and changing organizational needs

Ensure IT infrastructure is designed and executed in a manner that enables productivity for the Field and Corporate users

Evaluate and implement cloud infrastructure and platform technologies. Develop business cases for change

Lead IT security efforts, including timely application of critical patches, and the development and testing of disaster recovery plans

Effectively partner with vendors to understand their offerings and ways to leverage their expertise in getting more from our investments

Manage vendor relationships to ensure necessary support and competitive pricing 

Guide the evaluation, selection and implementation of new technologies (software, hardware, cloud). Does not invest in technology for technology’s sake – looks for the value and potential that it brings to meeting company goals

This is a very visible position that provides direction for the teams at our Dallas headquarters and across the US.  It is not a virtual leadership role. 

 

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Technology-related field

10 years of experience in information technology with a variety of IT functions, and a strong skillset in infrastructure, cyber security and cloud management that includes multiple field locations

6 years of direct management and leadership experience (multiple direct reports), including experience with developing team budgets, policies, and procedures, and fostering a culture of continuous innovation

Strong business acumen, ability to understand and support the organization’s needs and goals, both short and long term

History of successful project management and critical thinking; leveraging emerging innovation to enable enterprise performance

Ability to communicate issues effectively throughout all levels of the organization; have a business mindset to problem solving

Experience presenting technical ideas to customers in a clear and understandable format, separating the forest from the trees

Relationship focused, customer-service orientation and desire to build collaborative relationships internally and externally

Desire and ability to step into an executive role in the future
