Director of Success Initiatives: Maintains institutional degree and certifications and ensures compliance with state and accreditation guidelines. Provides support to VPI/deans/faculty with applicable accreditation and reporting activity for academic, workforce, and health science programs. Oversees out-of-state licensure and distance education authorizations. Assists with master scheduling and other instructional related documents. Coordinates articulation agreements and related data. Responsible for Perkins Grant.

 

The salary range for this position is $74,771.84 to $(phone number removed) annually.

Tuition-FT employees, their spouse & dependents are eligible for coverage of full Grayson College tuition amount.  

Responsibilities:
20%    Coordinates accreditation support functions for the instructional division.

10%    Assists the VPI in ensuring the Instructional Division is compliant with current institutional, program specific accreditation, state standards, and regional standards (SACSCOC, THECB submissions, etc).

10%    Assists VPI with processes and policies aligned with curriculum and new program development and approval with various agencies (THECB reporting, SACSCOC reporting, etc). Oversees the instructional programs/courses inventory reporting requirements             for THECB

10%    Serves as point-of-contact for out-of-state licensure requirements including distance learning state authorizations.   

10%    Oversees and facilitates articulation agreements and collects related data for reporting.  

10%    Supports the VPI/Deans with scheduling and completion of instructional program reviews.   

10%    Supports the VPI with master course scheduling, faculty handbook, college catalog, academic calendar, etc in collaboration with the instructional deans and other GC departments   

10%    Assists faculty with technology.

10%    Responsible for Perkins Grant (writing, reporting requirements, etc).

Qualifications:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education:  A Master's degree or a specialized certification program taking one year or more of coursework beyond a Bachelor's degree.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Knowledge of accreditation guidelines. Previous faculty member at the college level experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Office work is typically sedentary.

Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
