Overview:

 

Performing the operations of the practice, including but not limited to: Scheduling Patients for appointments, procedures, surgeries, Coordinating surgical schedules, Confirming patient completion of preparation for surgery, Answering Telephones, Triage patient calls for severity/importance, Updating patient information in the computer, Knowledge in insurances and referrals with accurate billing paperwork for submission, Copying medical records, Obtaining precertification of procedure and surgeries, Other related duties regarding daily clinical functions as directed by the practice manager.

Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. • Other Requirements: Must possess skills in scheduling Must be able to accurately type 50 words per minute

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Education and Work Experience:

Must possess a high school diploma or GED

2-5 YEARS Experience as well as knowledge of physician practice operations and understanding of basic computer operations.

Surgical Scheduling experience.

Strong organization skills required.

Management Experience, Computer experience and Medical Terminology
