Overview:
This position will be responsible for procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:
Reviews requisitions, Production Schedules and MRP Reports.

Interacts with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items.

Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.

Maintains inventory levels required to meet production schedules and financial targets.

Obtains production components from approved sources and builds and maintains strong working relationships with suppliers.

Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchases, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.

Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, suppliers, and others to determine source of problem and take corrective action.

Approves invoices for payment.

Expedites delivery of goods to users.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field preferred; or five years’ experience in a purchasing role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
