Application Engineer Advanced Battery Technologies We are partnering with a fast-growing innovator in graphene-enhanced lithium-ion cell technology to hire an Application Engineer who can bridge customer requirements with cell design, performance, and manufacturability. This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, problem-solving, and customer engagement, and who wants to contribute to the commercialisation of cutting-edge energy storage products. In this role, you will: Act as the technical interface for customers, interpreting requirements and guiding them through cell capabilities and performance characteristics. Support cell development teams with application insights, validation needs, and design-for-manufacture considerations. Investigate field issues, conduct failure analysis, and propose data-driven solutions. Translate complex technical information into clear guidance for internal teams and external partners. Support testing, teardown, and analysis activities to ensure performance alignment with application needs. We are looking for candidates with: Experience in lithium-ion cell engineering, validation, or application support. Knowledge of cell manufacturing processes such as mixing, coating, calendaring, formation, or welding. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers on technical topics. A problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose issues from test data, teardown findings, or performance deviations.
