Sr Application Engineer, Gate Driver ICs

Your systematic approach and conclusive presentation style enables others quickly to understand the main message for fast decision making. In your new role you will: Be the key power electronics technical contact for your worldwide customers needing expert support for your designated gate drivers. You are answering technical questions, doing measurements and driving the design-in activities at your customers Do application investigations and optimizations in the company lab as well as at the customer site Be responsible for the technical after sales support: Trouble shooting and debugging of customer designs Build up and maintain your own network to key technical contacts at customers Work in close cooperation with your product marketing colleagues for key customer support Support our customers by creating application tools like demo boards, application notes, hardware and software tools Maintain the customer support infrastructure like simulation models and web-based product and solution finders Provide or support the creation of application and system related marketing materials Train worldwide colleagues and distribution partners on your gate drivers and applications You are best equipped for this task if you have: An excellent technical skill set based on a degree in electrical engineering or microelectronics focused on power electronics More than 3 years of experience in Application Engineering, System Engineering, Concept Engineering, Technical Marketing or Product Development within the power semiconductor industry An understanding on system level of high voltage ICs, IGBTs and MOSFETs The ability to understand complex systems and to identify innovative solutions A strong customer focus. You are committed to create added value by deeply understanding your customers applications The will to travel from time to time.
